A Note to Our OCHO Guests
OCHO has always been a gift to the community—an evening where neighbors gather, hear stories, and celebrate the richness of our culture. It’s more than an event; it’s a space for cultural connection, a chance to recognize and honor the many threads that make our community what it is. Moving forward, we need the community’s partnership to keep it alive. OCHO is scheduled for October 2026, but it will only happen if the following are in place:
Presenters & Artists Committed: All presenters and artists must be confirmed and submitted by July 1, 2026.
Sponsors in Place: We must have sponsors committed to covering the cost of the event.
Sponsorship Deadline: All sponsorships must be secured no later than July 1, 2026.
Without these commitments in place by the deadline, we will not hold OCHO in 2026.
These steps ensure that OCHO continues as the thoughtful, high-quality gathering it is meant to be—and that those who give their time and talent to it are supported.

Why give?
-
✽
We Highlight Local Voices
Every OCHO gathering shines a light on the people who shape the Hill Country’s character—storytellers, historians, ranchers, and neighbors whose voices deserve to be heard. Supporting OCHO means helping preserve and celebrate the culture of our own community.

We Invest in Local Food
From the barbecue to the bread, every meal at OCHO is sourced from local farms, ranchers, and kitchens. Your support keeps these dollars in our region, strengthens local agriculture, and turns each meal into a shared expression of place.

✽
We Always Invite Artists to the Table
Art is part of OCHO’s heartbeat. We give poets, painters, musicians, and makers a seat at the table so their work can be seen and heard. When you support OCHO, you help ensure that culture and creativity remain woven into the life of our community.

Connection that Builds Community
OCHO is a curated gathering that brings together people from many walks of life. In a time marked by division, it offers an evening for neighbors and newcomers to sit side by side, share stories, and discover common ground.

✽
A Night Free from Digital Distractions
OCHO encourages guests to put their phones down and be present with one another. It’s a rare space where conversation unfolds face-to-face, helping us remember how to listen, laugh, and connect without screens between us.

The Surprise Interaction
Each OCHO evening includes a lighthearted, unexpected activity that sparks genuine conversation. This playful moment breaks the ice and often reveals more about one another than a typical introduction ever could—making the night feel more personal and memorable and the introduction way more meaningful.
